Anticipating the Great Gasby

After researching about the 20's and prohibion movement I think the Great Gatsby is about Scott Gerald and overcoming an alchohol addiction. I think this because when researching about Scott Gerald I found that he was an alcoholic and wrote his poems about alcohol. I think the cause of the alcohol addiction is going to be the great depression and someone who has everything in life losing it and having nothing in the end. This being I'm assuming that this book is going to be a dramatic one with a complex story plot.
